The KB-5 Drum Screener is a modern integrated system designed for precise separation of bulk materials according to particle size. The unit effectively removes oversized fractions from a homogeneous fine mass, ensuring high final product quality and stable downstream processing.
The solution is widely used in construction, mining, and wood processing industries, as well as in all applications requiring accurate screening and calibration of raw materials.
Operating Principle
The calibrator is based on a rotating drum screen mounted on a solid welded frame. The construction includes a circular drum screen, chain drive with gear motor, screw feeder with hopper, material transport system.
During operation, the rotating and slightly inclined drum moves the material forward, allowing uniform screening. Fine fractions pass through the screen openings, while oversized particles are separated and discharged.
The machine efficiently calibrates materials such as sand, aggregates, coal, peat, sawdust, and other bulk raw materials.
Upgraded KB-5 Complex Includes:
- KBL-1 feed hopper with a capacity of 8.8 m³, equipped with two vibration motors and a pre-screen for initial material calibration,
- Two belt conveyors,
- Drum calibrator.
Special attention should be given to the TLU discharge conveyor, available in various lengths: 3 m, 5 m, 7 m, and 9 m, depending on customer requirements.
In the standard KB-5 configuration, the TLU conveyor has a length of 5 m and is equipped with a CMRV 090 1/60 gear motor with a power rating of 2.2 kW.
Key Features
- Effective separation of oversized fractions
- High reliability and durable construction
- Hopper capacity: 8.8 m³
- Capacity when processing sawdust: up to 28 m³/h
- Adjustable conveyor length to match plant conditions

The KB-5 Drum Screener is an efficient and flexible calibration system that improves bulk material sorting processes, enhances final product quality, and increases the overall efficiency of the technological line.
