The DPP-1 system is a modern technological line designed for the uniform application of both liquid and dry additives onto extruded pet food. The set consists of three main modules:

• Coating Drum No. 1 – for applying liquid ingredients (e.g. oils, fats)
• Dosing Module UWD-2 – for precise dispensing of dry and/or liquid additives
• Coating Drum No. 2 – for final mixing and additive fixation

How does the DPP-1 system work?

 1. Initial stage – liquid coating

The product first enters Coating Drum No. 1, where liquid ingredients such as oils or fats are applied. With precise control of rotation speed, tilt angle, and liquid dosage, the system ensures uniform coverage, enhancing the adhesion of dry additives.

 2. Dosing of dry ingredients (e.g. vitamins, flavourings)

As the product moves from Drum No. 1 to Drum No. 2, dry ingredients are applied via the UWD-2 module. It allows for high-precision dosing (±0.2%), ensuring even distribution without material loss. The UWD-2 can operate independently or as part of the full system, depending on production needs.

 3. Final mixing

The product enters Coating Drum No. 2, where dry additives are gently and thoroughly mixed with the moistened feed. The large drum diameter (900 mm) and adjustable settings ensure effective mixing without damaging the structure of the pellets.
