Operating Principle of the MZ-500 Separator

The incoming material is fed into the intake hopper, where it is evenly distributed across its width by gravity and directed into the separation chamber. In the first stage, a strong air flow removes heavy impurities such as stones and other hard particles.

The cleaned grain is then directed to the next channel, while non-grain impurities, damaged, or broken kernels are carried by the air stream into a separate outlet. The lightest fractions – dust and fine residues – are removed together with the exhaust air through the air discharge system.

The separation process is based on differences in grain mass and aerodynamic properties. This allows the selection of full, healthy kernels with higher weight, which is particularly important when preparing seed material. It improves germination capacity, reduces the amount of seed required for sowing, and can increase potential crop yields.

The primary cleaning process also removes dust and part of the non-grain waste, allowing the grain to be quickly prepared for temporary storage before further processing.
