The last step in the mold making process is to check the hardness level. This is perhaps one of the most important manufacturing processes, as the hardness of a mold is directly proportional to its durability. This check is carried out by the quality control department according to the Rockwell method using special equipment. This is a non-destructive test method in which a hard tip, known as an indenter, is inserted into the material under test and the penetration depth is measured while applying the same load for each hardness level.
